About

Thomas Roemischer was raised in Park Slope, Brooklyn, and the Adirondacks. He began studying traditional film photography in high school, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in photography at Rochester Institute of Technology. He has spent the last ten years working in the digital retouching and print industry, combining the latest digital technology with traditional film photography. Combining broad experience and creativity, Thom renders photographs which capture the spirit and energy of each of his subjects. His rapport with children makes each photo session an enjoyable and relaxing one. Thom resides in Park Slope with his wife Julia and their two children, Jack and Lily

My goal is to celebrate your family's current history with treasured portraiture - documenting today for tomorrow. Our journey will be a hands-on, customized experience and I'll be there every step of the way. Within that framework, we'll spend 60-90 minutes at your photo session and as a location photographer, the city, park & beach will make a beautiful backdrop for your images. Albums

The Cypress Album is the ultimate matted album tailored with elegance. The fabrics are carefully wrapped around the covers to give the album a smooth, warm touch. The images are meticulously mounted into mats to ensure that each image is properly placed and preserved. The pages are bound together with an exquisite ribbon using an ancient style of Japanese binding. Using many of the same techniques, a Presentation Box is then crated for the album. Every corner of the hand-made box is finely wrapped in fabric, ensuring the preservation of the album. The result of this fine craftsmanship is a simply beautiful photo album and presentation box.

Frames

Order your next photographic print with a frame and choose from one of our four frame color options black, cherry, bronze, or iron. We’ll assemble the photographic print into the frame as a full image with or without acrylic or with a double white mat with acrylic. These wooden frames are available in six sizes – 11x14, 10x20, 12x18, 16x16,16x20, and 20x24 with various print and mat opening options. Mats are acid free and archival and all frames have a 2 inch molding. This means if you order a 16x20 frame, it will take up a 20x24 space on a wall. The inside opening is 16x20 and can be filled with a full 16x20 print or a 16x20 mat with an 8x10, 11x14, or 10x15 print. All frame orders are shipped assembled and complete with hanging hardware.

Few gifts are more appreciated than photographs of your loved ones. Gift certificates may be redeemed at any time for any photographic service, and are available in several denominations. A thoughtful gift idea for baby showers, holidays, Mother's or Father's day, or any special occasion.

Canvas Prints

Your portrait will be printed on museum-quality canvas and hand stretched onto a custom-built, 1.5" or 2.5" thick wooden frame. The image wll be gallery-wrapped, continuing around the sides of the frame for a beautiful print, ready to hang on your wall.

Folios

Our exclusive folios have a design that is unparalleled. Covered in Japanese bookbinding fabric and accented with a Swiss ribbon, the folio can be folded into a small book or displayed open on a table as a frame. Folios can be ordered to hold 1-4 photographs in a selection of sizes.
